Robyn O'Donnell has always loved dogs and in 1981 had an opportunity to be an apprentice dog groomer with a groomer of over 25 years experience. Robyn's teacher not only taught her to groom but also started her love of poodles. But it would be more than a decade before she adopted her first poodle, Libby, from the CT Humane Society. In 1990 Robyn went to her first grooming competition and was hooked! Everyone told her that if she wanted to compete then having her own poodle was the way to go. In 1992 Robyn adopted a red miniature poodle and named her Libby. In 1994 Robyn entered her first grooming competition with two dogs, Libby and a poodle mix named Maggie. Robyn won a third place with Libby and a first place with Maggie, a great start! And in 1994 Robyn became a National Certified Master Groomer with the National Dog Groomers Association. In 1997 after many years of working for other grooming shops, Robyn decide to take the plunge and open her own business, The Pink Poodle Parlor. Also that year Robyn went back into the competition arena and competed with her poodle Sunny and took home first place under the late, great Liz Paul. In 1998 with the birth of her first poodle litter Dreamstruck poodles was born and to date has four bred-by AKC Champanions, starting with Lovey, CH Dreamstruck Love's A Dream, who at the age of eight months won Winners Bitch, Best Puppy and Best of Winners, and a five point major at the Poodle Club of Massachusettes Specialty Show.  One of the most memoriable days in dogs! Robyn is a member of New England Pet Groomer Professionals and has donated a memorial trophy at their annual competition/trade show/seminar in memory of her Mini Schnauzer Daquiri, 1981-1998 for the past 11 years. Robyn is now working in Rally Obedience with three of her poodles, Hercules, Jones and Viola.
